Strengthening Industry Connections Through Shared Knowledge
On June 11, 2025, Southern Machinery Company joined industry leaders for an in-depth technical training hosted by Eagle Iron Works at the Rogers Group Inc. Corporate Office in Nashville, TN. The event brought together professionals from across the aggregate industry to share expertise, strengthen partnerships, and build on the collaborative spirit that fuels progress in our field.

The agenda for the day was packed with valuable topics including:

- Fine Material Screw Washers with Eagle Dry Dewatering Screens
- Water Scalping Sand Classifying Tanks
- Falcon Ultra Sand Plants and Hawk Ultra Fines Recovery Systems (Sumps, Pumps, Cyclones, Dewatering Screens)
- Maintenance on Fine Material Screw Washers & Sand Classifying Tanks
- Pondless Washing Technologies: Thickeners and Filter Presses
Instruction was led by Eagle Iron Works, who delivered technical insights and maintenance know-how that attendees described as “very informative” and “much needed” for daily plant operations.
We Showed up to Learn!
Southern Machinery team members Chris Powers, Ben Cachares, and Ken Mayo were in attendance, along with colleagues from Mellott including Bailey Mills, Jamie Bryner, Mike Stavola, and Matt Sweitzer. Stavola and Sweitzer doubled as the day’s pitmasters, continuing our tradition of cooking up BBQ for training events—because good food and good learning just go together.
